Celebrating a decade of laughs, the Union Chapel’s monthly comedy variety night Live at the Chapel will play host to another star-studded line up of comedians on November 11.

Alongside Bridget Christie, Jordan Brookes and Fin Taylor, November’s returning headliner is multi award-winning comedian, writer and star of Live at The Apollo, Mock the Week, QI, and Taskmasker, Sara Pascoe.

Pascoe’s performance will follow hot on the heels of a sell-out live tour of Animal, a show inspired by her book of the same name. Having performed her first show, Sarah Pascoe vs Her Ego, at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this comedian is also celebrating her tenth year in stand-up, and has recently been hailed as “a comic in her prime”.

Joining Pascoe is fellow writer and comedian, Bridget Christie, winner of the inaugural Funny Women Best Show Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In addition to her debut book, A Book for Her, Christie has written for The Guardian, The Times, and The Independent, and received the Rose D’Or Award for her BBC Radio 4 series, Bridget Christie Minds the Gap.

Also appearing is Jordan Brookes, a comedian critics call “savvy and savage” with a “fine peculiar brain”. Brookes first caught the attention of the comedy world in 2012 by winning the Welsh Unsigned Comedy Award. Since then, his stand-up has drawn comparisons with Dutch absurdist comedian, Hans Teeuwen.

Taking a break from his current tour, Lefty Tighty Righty Loose, will be the evening’s host Fin Taylor, a comedian who describes his stand-up as “a politically homeless man dragging audiences into his gutter”.

Live at The Chapel will take place on Saturday November 11 at 7.45pm. Advanced tickets are £20 and are available from liveatthechapel.co.uk
