Manuel Almunia left the Gunners to join Watford and admitted it was hard to watch the changes in north London
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia believes that the club changed dramatically over the years he was at the club.
The Spaniard was with the Gunners for eight years and only picked up an FA Cup medal as the north Londoners sold all their top players from Thierry Henry to Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie could be also on his way out.
“As a player at Arsenal, it is hard to see the best players go to other clubs every year. They have missed a lot of great players in the last few years,” Almunia said.
“The first year I came to England, I thought ‘Oh, I’m going to win a lot of things with Arsenal’ but the change then started. The club has been changing every year.”
Arsenal Ladies manager Shelley Kerr says the competition is improving all the times as the Gunners prepare for Sunday’s FA Women’s Cup Final.
