Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart has claimed that he has not had any contact with Hamburg, despite being linked with a return to his former club.

The Dutchman spent three years at the German club before moving to Real Madrid and then Spurs.

“I am happy and I am surprised myself how much I still love Hamburg, currently however there is no contact,” the playmaker told Bild.

Van der Vaart joined Tottenham in August 2010 for £8million and has scored 24 Premier League goals in 61 appearances.
