Millwall defender Scott Barron hopes that the Lions react better to defeat than their West Ham counterparts when the sides meet at Upton Park tomorrow.

Millwall lost 2-0 to Watford and West Ham lost 5-1 at Ipswich, with both obviously keen to get back to winning ways in this weekend’s derby.

“Watford was arguably a bigger game as they’re around us. The West Ham game will look after itself,” Barron told London24.

“They had a bad result and hopefully we’ll react better than they do.

“They’ve got the financial clout to buy players (the Hammers signed Ravel Morrison, Ricardo Vaz Te and Nicky Maynard on deadline day) and we operate in a different means.

“It’s a big game, there’s no denying that and the atmosphere should be electric.

“I’ll be thriving on that, if selected.”
