Gang police investigating shooting in Homerton

Gang police are appealing for information after shots were fired in Homerton.

Officers were called to Retreat Place, off Morning Lane, at 12.45pm on Sunday after reports of gunfire, but found no one injured when they got there.

They did find a damaged vehicle and “evidence of a firearm discharge”, however.

The Met’s Trident unit is investigating the shooting and has put posters up in the area asking for witnesses.

No arrests have been made.
