Police want to speak to this man after a woman was sexually assaulted while walking home from a night out in the Finsbury Park area.

The victim, 38, had been at the Zumbale Latin nightclub in High Road, Tottenham, on May 28 and left between 4.40am and 6am.

As she was walking home to Finsbury Park, she was approached by a man who began speaking to her. The next thing she knew she was in a park and had been sexually assaulted.

The man is about 5ft 7in and clean shaven with black bushy hair. He was wearing a T-shirt and trousers, either of which may have been orange, and a star-shaped pendant. He was carrying a plastic bag.

CCTV from the club showed a man matching the given description and police are appealing for anyone who may know his identity to come forward. Officers believe that he may have stored his bag behind the bar at the club.

Det Con Aga Redworth, of the Met’s sexual offences command, said: “The victim left the club and was on her way home. She has no exact recollection of events. Consequently, she is unsure where she was taken to and sexually assaulted.

“Despite in-depth investigation, we have not identified her attacker to date and are appealing to the media and public to help identify this man as part of our inquiries.”

Anyone with information can call police on the police non-emergency line on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or by Tweeting @MetCC.
