Man charged with murder following fatal stabbing in Hackney Wick

A 23-year-old man was charged with murder this morning following the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old.
Damien Douglas, of Ballance Road, Homerton, will appear at Thames Magistrates Court later today.
He was remanded in custody following his arrest on Wednesday..
Detectives launched a murder investigation after police found the victim with a stab wound to his chest in Buxhall Crescent, Hackney Wick, on Wednesday morning (July 11).
London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended the scene and took the man to an east London hospital, but he died there at around 5.30pm.
