A 45-year-old man is in hospital with head injuries this morning (June 27) following an assault in Lower Clapton.
Police were called to Glyn Road at 5am and found the man suffering from injuries to his head and face.
He was taken to hospital where his condition is not life threatening.
No one has been arrested but detectives are investigating.
Part of the left hand lane of Glyn Road is closed (near Dunlace Road and Clifden Road) whilst officers complete their investigations. The rest of the road remains open.
A severely epileptic boy and his family were evicted from their home and split up last week due to bureaucratic rules – despite pleas from medical staff warning that the move could cause him to suffer life-threatening fits.
