Three held after shooting and stabbings in Hackney

Gunshots were fired and three men were stabbed in Hackney on Friday night.

Police were called at around 6.30pm to reports of a shooting in Median Road, Lower Clapton, and were seen searching the area wearing gloves.

A police spokesman said: “Shortly after, three males aged 20 to 30 years old presented themselves to local hospitals with injuries.”

The men were arrested and bailed, pending further enquires.

People took to Twitter about a stabbing nearby in Homerton High Street but police could not confirm reports.

Ema Wakeford said: “Crime scene taking over our street. Homerton stabbing and shooting last night outside our wee Co-op. What a lot of blood.”

Alex Dougan added: “Nothing says home like a stabbing and shooting on your door step on a Friday night. Homerton life y’all.”
