He was Daniel Michael Harris, 28, of Waterloo Road, Ilford.

On his website, he describes himself as a “social media strategist, community manager, web editor and marketing drone by trade.”

He worked at Shoreditch-based printing company Moo.

He collided with a coach carrying journalists from the Olympic Park at the junction of Ruckholt Road (A106) and the East Cross Route (A12) at around 7.30pm.

Police, London Ambulance Service and the air ambulance attended the scene but he was pronounced dead there at 8.14pm.

An inquest opened earlier today and then adjourned at Poplar Coroner’s Court.

A post mortem is scheduled for tomorrow.

A 65-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, was bailed until late August pending further enquiries.

The Metropolitan Police’s Road Death Investigation Unit (RDIU) are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information should call the RDIU on 020 8597 4874 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
