Scott White, 24, of Daubeney Road, Homerton pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine, possession of a firearm, and possession of live ammunition on Tuesday June 12 and was sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday.

He was caught in March when officers from Hackney’s firearms unit and the Met’s dogs section and Territorial Support Group (TSG) executed a firearms warrant at an address in Anna Close, Haggerston.

They saw two bags being thrown from the window as they entered, and the gun and ammunition were found in one, while 400 wraps of crack cocaine were in the other.

Drugs valued at £6,400 were also found inside the property.

White was arrested with a 20-year old woman, but the charges against her were dropped.

DCI Phil Langworthy from Hackney CID said: “Scott White is clearly a violent and dangerous man.

“It should be reassuring for the people in Hackney that he will be behind bars for many years.

“It should also act as a clear warning for other gang members on this borough who elect to participate in illegal activity.”

White was sentenced to five years for possession of a prohibited firearm, 13 months for possession of seven rounds of ammunition and 13 months from possession with intent to supply controlled drugs of class A, with all sentences running consecutively.

The judge also activated a nine and half week suspended sentence for common assault.
