Three men and a woman were arrested on Tuesday as bailiffs evicted protesters from Leyton Marshes.

Police and bailiffs arrived on the site after a High Court official last week granted a possession order to the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said Simon Carleton, 29, Daniel Ashman, 27, Anita Olivacce, 25, and Connor Murray, 24, are each accused of breaching the Public Order Act.

They appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court yesterday, a court official said, and a provisional trial date was set for June 1 at Stratford Magistrates’ Court.

The site for development is a temporary venue and the Olympic Delivery Authority must get the land back to its previous state by mid-October.
