Hackney’s Chinese twin town wows De Beauvoir pupils

Youngsters at Our Lady and St Josephs primary school in De Beauvoir’s Buckingham Road were mesmerised by a spectacular Chinese dancing display on Tuesday.
Chinese dancers at Our Lady and St Joseph Primary SchoolThe performers are from the Wan Quan School of 10,000 Fountains in the Beijing district of Haidan, which is linked with Hackney in a World City Link partnership.
Headteacher Sean Flood, said he was pleased to welcome the visitors: “This has been a marvellous display of dancing and very uplifting for the school.
“Global links are extremely important to our school and we are happy our choir could perform for them.”
