They are holding a public meeting on Tuesday (July 31) to organise the TUC’s March for a Future that Works.

The demonstration, which will take place on October 20, will unite people who want to resist austerity measures.

Members fear the government’s cuts are only just beginning and will not be able to solve the financial crisis.

Last year, several hundred people from Hackney joined the 500,000-strong march from the Monument but this year the TUC hopes there will be even more people.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday July 31 at the Apsland and Marcon Community Centre in Amhurst Road, Hackney at 7pm.
