A suspected drug dealer was this morning being held by police after officers raided a flat on a Haggerston estate.

The operation saw one man arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, a Scotland Yard spokesman confirmed.

Police raided the flat in Thrasher Close, near the Regent’s Canal, at about 7am, on a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

City of London Police vans were seen parked in nearby Stean Street. The Met could not give further details about the class of drugs involved.
