Youngsters looked the part as they graduated from their Hoxton nursery before venturing onto primary school in September.
The 42 four-year olds donned mortar boards and gowns of red, yellow and blue to celebrate the end of their time at Hackney Community College’s One World Nursery in Falkirk Street last Wednesday.
Yvonne Daley, early years education co-ordinator said the children showed a real sense of achievement as they received their certificates.
“It was a sad and happy moment, for us. Some of the children have been at the nursery since they were six months old, and to see them actually graduating was overwhelming for all of us.”
As well as providing places for the college’s students and staff, several places are available for other local people.
