Simon Balunga was last last seen by relatives, walking down the steps into Brixton tube station on Wednesday night.

The 68-year old had been due to take a Victoria line train back to Tottenham Hale station near his home.

Police concerned for his welfare, particularly since he went missing on one of the coldest nights of the winter, issued an appeal to trace him.

He was found safe and well in Kent in the early hours of Friday morning and police are thanking the public for their help during the search.
