Simon Balunga was last last seen by relatives at around 7.30pm, walking down the steps into Brixton tube station.

The 68-year old man was due to take a Victoria line train back to Tottenham Hale station, from where he would have walked home to his home in Bream Close where he lives with his wife.

But he has not been seen or heard of since.

Police are very concerned for his welfare, particularly since he went missing on one of the coldest nights of the winter, with temperatures plummeting below zero.

Mr Balunga who suffers from the early signs of dementia, is described as black, approx 5ft 8ins tall and of slim build.

He was wearing a distinctive grey diamond-patterned beret, grey and green suit, a padded black anorak and black shoes. Anyone with information on Mr Balunga’s whereabouts should call police on 101.
