A singer-songwriter from Shoreditch is hosting a five star corporate charity ball in the West End to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
David Read, 58, began raising money four years ago when his mum Janet died with Alzheimer’s, and recorded an album about the devastating disease, I Know I Should Know You.
The ball at the Churchill Hyatt Regency Hotel on Friday June 15 is part of the ongoing project, and there will be dancers, magic acts and music from David and his band as well as a banquet.
Tickets are priced at £160 per person or £1,800 for a table of 12 and are available by calling 07785 284770.
A severely epileptic boy and his family were evicted from their home and split up last week due to bureaucratic rules – despite pleas from medical staff warning that the move could cause him to suffer life-threatening fits.
