Hundreds of Halloween revellers turned out last night to see what spooky attraction a Stoke Newington schoolboy had dreamed up this year.

Last October 31 George Lammiman rigged up terrifying video projections onto a row of pumpkins, allowing the faces to laugh and contort.

With the help of his mum’s partner, builder Matt Flemming, he constructed a scary house outside his home in Oldfield Road. Then his BBC cameraman dad Steve Lammiman helped him create a minute-long audio-visual show which he played 60 times to a crowd of 600.

Proud mum Sally Freestone said: “The children jumped at the ghostly apparitions projected onto a screen, but it was the real rocking chair which moved all by itself and all of a sudden which seemed to delight, and spook them, the most.

“I just hope that one day his family and friends will be walking down the red carpet to see him pick up an award for set design in film or theatre. He’s certainly determined.”
