Clapton crashed out of the Errington Challenge Cup in the first round as they lost 4-1 on penalties to Southend Manor.

Ten man Manor battled back from two goals down to eventually win on penalties against The Tons at Southchurch Park. The Tons took a 2-0 lead, with the second a penalty after a handball on the line saw Manor reduced to ten.

The hosts fought back to take the tie to spot kicks which Manor succeeded in winning and set up a home tie with Hackney Wick in Round Two.

While, east London neighbours Tower Hamlets bowed out of the Gordon Brasted Trophy as they were thumped 6-0 by Sawbridgeworth Town.

The Robins progress into the Quarter Finals of the Trophy.

Joe Wright put the hosts ahead before Billy Skinner made it two and it was three when Toby Cleaver netted.

Lewis Deamer then made it four before goals from Keke Orth and Louis Monk completed the rout to set up a home tie with FC Romania.
