West Ham United host Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday after a fine week in both league and cup.

The Hammers thumped Sky Bet League Two side Macclesfield Town 8-0 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, which followed a goalless draw for Manuel Pellegrini’s players at home to Chelsea in the league on Sunday.

Leyton Orient, meanwhile, will look to remain top of the Vanarama National League with victory at home to Sutton United on Saturday.

The O’s made it 13 games without defeat with a 5-1 mauling of Braintree Town on Tuesday night after Justin Edinburgh’s men won 3-0 at Harrogate Town last Saturday to take over at the summit.

Divisional rivals Dagenham & Redbridge, meanwhile, welcome Ebbsfleet United on Saturday as they look for a return to winning ways.

Daggers were beaten 2-0 at Solihull Moors on Tuesday night, which followed a 1-0 loss at Eastleigh on Saturday for Peter Taylor’s men.

All this, plus the latest from the Bostik Premier and below, is discussed on this week’s episode of The East London Football Podcast.
