Front man on form for non-league national team

Dagenham & Redbridge winger Fejiri Okenabirhie netted a hat trick as England C beat their Wales counterparts 3-2 in a friendly match on Tuesday night.

The in-form attacker started for the non-league national team in Barry, along with former Daggers defenders Sam Ling, now at Leyton Orient, and Josh Staunton.

The 22-year-old opened the scoring when firing into the top corner in the first half after being found by Dan Maguire of Blyth Spartans.

The former Stevenage man added his second from the spot in the second half after Maguire had been fouled in the box.

Though Wales pulled one back, Okenabirhie was able to complete his hat-trick with a powerful effort from outside the box.

Wales were able to add a second of their own to set up a thrilling finale, but in the end, Okenabirhie’s treble proved decisive.

The winger will hope to take his international form into Daggers’ game at home to Fylde on Saturday.
