Both sides ended the game with ten men but Clapton’s win sees them stay in sixth whilst Hamlets are now down a place into eighth.

Jonny Fowell’s men extended their winning streak to five league games on the spin and also earnt themselves the bragging rights in east London.

Fellow east London rivals Sporting Bengal United fell to their seven straight defeat as they lost 6-2 to FC Romania.

Imrul Gazi’s men dropped down to thirteenth place whilst FCR remain in fourth after their ninth win of the campaign.

Florin Pop hit a hat trick while Mihai Dinu, Cosmin Anton and George Taban also got on the score sheet.

David Vaughan scored both the Sporting Bengal replies.

Clapton, Tower Hamlets and Sporting Bengal will all be back in action tomorrow evening.
