The draw for the first qualifying round of this season’s FA Cup has been made

Clapton will host Needham Market of the Bostik Premier in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup after the draw was made on Monday.

Tons made it through the preliminary round on Saturday with a 2-0 win at home to Norwich United of the Bostik North.

Their reward is a clash against Market, who play two tiers higher than Jon Fowell’s Essex Senior League side.

There could also be a Havering derby in the first qualifying round, with Hornchurch set to visit Bostik North rivals Romford, as long as Boro beat Stowmarket Town in a replay on Tuesday.

Fellow Bostik North side Barking will be on the round at Gorleston in the next round if they beat Saffron Walden Town in a replay.

Ilford were also taken to a replay, but will host Kings Langley if they can get the better of Haverhill Borough.

For winning a match in the first qualifying round, clubs will receive £3,000.

FA Cup first qualifying round draw, selected ties: Stowmarket Town/Romford v Hornchurch; Clapton v Needham Market; Gorleston v Barking/Saffron Walden Town; Ilford/Haverhill Borough v Kings Langley.
