Leyton Orient have this afternoon revealed defender Jamie Sendles-White has left the club by mutual consent.

The 23-year-old signed a one-year deal with the O’s in August after going through a long trial period in pre-season.

But he was never able to establish himself as a regular and struggled for form when given a chance after both George Elokobi and Josh Coulson suffered long-term injuries in September.

Sendles-White was also involved in a heated exchange with Orient supporters after the O’s lost 2-1 at Ebbsfleet United on November 11.

As a result, he was handed a written warning by the club and instructed to represent the Brisbane Road outfit at the following four community events.

He went on to make 15 appearances overall for Orient, receiving one red card in a 2-2 draw with Chester.

A club statement read: “Everyone at the O’s would like to thank Jamie for his efforts and wish him well for the future.

Sendles-White added: “I’m gutted things didn’t work out at Leyton Orient. Sorry the club and fans didn’t get to see the best of me.

“I’d like to thank Ross (Embleton) and ‘Lingy’ (Martin Ling) for the opportunity. They stood by me after my injury and I’ll forever be grateful.

“I want to wish the players, gaffer, staff and the fans all the best for the future.”
