Popular Accrington Stanley midfielder links up with Steve Davis at Brisbane Road

Leyton Orient have signed Accrington Stanley midfielder Romuald Boco on a two-year deal.

The 32-year-old has spent the last 18 months with the Lancashire club, but has made the decision to join the O’s.

Boco made 38 appearances for Stanley last season, scoring seven times, and has played for other clubs in England.

The Frenchman has actually had three separate spells at the Crown Ground, but has also played for Plymouth Argyle, Chesterfield and Portsmouth.

Boco has had various spells in other countries too including Ireland with Sligo Rovers and in India with Bharat FC.

He has played in the top-tier of non-league football before, but back in the 2005/06 season when Accrington sealed promotion from the Conference.

Boco is Orient’s 11th signing of the summer and Martin Ling and Steve Davis will be close to finishing their business now.

The O’s are looking to bring one or two more players in, but are getting closer to be ready for the start of the National League season on August 5.
