After a run of six games without a win, O’s surely need to make changes
Leyton Orient right-back Jake Caprice is set to miss his first game of the season today (Saturday) at Barrow due to a hamstring injury.
The former Woking defender suffered the problem during Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat at Tranmere Rovers.
And it is expected this match with the Bluebirds will come around too quickly, so the obvious replacement is 18-year-old Myles Judd.
Judd is yet to make an appearance this season, but showed his potential and character during his 21 starts in the 2016/17 campaign.
Steve Davis could make changes elsewhere with a number of players failing to perform in recent weeks.
Orient have lost five of their last six games since beating Guiseley 4-1 and it has put some pressure on their head coach.
Macauley Bonne hasn’t scored during that run, while the likes of Craig Clay and Alex Lawless have been poor.
David Mooney is another player to have not hit the heights expected of him in recent times, but whether Davis will drop the aforementioned foursome remains to be seen.
What Orient do need to do is stop this rot and get back to doing the basics right, which they did during the opening month of the season.
O’s weren’t defending too well in August, but were scoring goals and creating plenty of chances, which they’ve now stopped doing.
After six games without a win, Davis and his squad will be desperate to return back to east London after a gruelling week with three points.
