Ebou Adams could make his National League debut for Leyton Orient tonight at the Shay

Leyton Orient will be without Alex Lawless for their National League clash with Halifax Town this evening.

The former Luton Town midfielder picked up his 10th booking of the campaign in the 3-2 defeat at home to Aldershot Town on Saturday.

Lawless will therefore serve a two-match suspension and miss tonight and the FA Trophy third-round tie at Dover Athletic this weekend.

Boss Justin Edinburgh has a couple of options available at his disposal to replace the 32-year-old.

Norwich City loanee Ebou Adams could come in and make his league debut for the O’s after signing earlier this month.

Jobi McAnuff could also feature in the middle or Orient could turn to Freddy Moncur, who is yet to make a competitive appearance this season.

Edinburgh said: “Alex is suspended now, but one doors closes and another opens, so an opportunity has arisen for someone else.

“We have bodies at the club to come in and fill that, so we move on. Yes Alex has been fantastic, but we can’t pick him and use him, so it is someone else’s opportunity now.”

Joe Widdowson will serve the last of his two-match ban following his second sending off of the campaign at Bognor earlier this month.

George Elokobi started at left-back on Saturday and may have to continue there with Myles Judd struggling with a groin injury.

Jamie Sendles-White hasn’t completely recovered from a recent ankle issue either, but Charlie Grainger may be back in contention despite suffering with a back problem of late.

Orient may well miss James Dayton at the Shay after he came off during the first-half on Saturday with a reoccurrence of his calf injury.

The ex-Cheltenham Town winger could be replaced by one of Josh Koroma or Lamar Reynolds or Edinburgh could decide to try Dan Holman out wide with David Mooney or Matt Harrold up front with Macauley Bonne.

Halifax will have ex-O Michael Collins in their starting XI and despite only spending half a season with Orient, he endeared himself to the Brisbane Road faithful with a number of hard-working performances and will no doubt produce a similar display later.
