Redbridge and Clapton had to settle for a share of the spoils as they drew 1-1 at the Oakside Stadium.

The Motormen got off to a strong start as Ashley Modeste gave them the lead in the first-half but Jeffrey Cobblah netted a late equaliser to earn both sides a point in the match.

Modeste found the back of the net in the 33rd minute and helped his side take a 1-0 lead into the break.

Cobblah then fired into the back of the goal in the 76th minute to make it 1-1 before both sides held each other out in the final 15 minutes of the match.

Goal scorer Cobblah tweeted after the match: “Disappointed with a draw today as we should had left with all 3 points.

“Glad to get on the score sheet again with the equaliser. We go again.”

Clapton defender Dylan Ebengo also tweeted: “1-1 away from home should have grabbed all 3points at the end but still a great team performance.

“Playing with an injury ain’t easy but it’s all for the team.”
