Leyton Orient look to avoid an FA Trophy giant-killing when they visit Haringey Borough in the first round on Saturday.

The O’s ended their winless run in the National League last time out with a 4-1 at home to previous leaders Sutton United.

West Ham United head to Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday boosted by two good results at home in the past week.

A 1-0 win at home to Chelsea on Saturday was followed by a midweek goalless draw for the Hammers, who have improved at the back.

Dagenham & Redbridge are another to begin their FA Trophy campaign as they head for Hereford.

John Still’s men racked up a fourth straight National League win at Barrow last weekend to cement their place among the promotion contenders.

All this, plus the latest from the lower leagues, is discussed on this week’s East London Football podcast.

Archant London sports reporter Ned Keating is joined in the studio by George Sessions, Lee Power and Jacob Ranson for this week’s episode.
