Romford Rifle & Pistol club member James Huckle will represent Team GB in the Olympic shooting competition this summer.

Huckle, 21, was named in a 10-strong squad and will compete in the men’s three-position rifle, looking to add to the two silver and two bronze medals he won at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Team leader Phil Scanlan said: “I’m delighted with the team we have and I really do believe we have some great opportunities for medals.

“We’ve got a nice blend of youth and experience in the team, ranging from Richard Faulds who will be featuring in his fifth Olympic Games to James Huckle and Jennifer McIntosh who are making the first steps in their promising careers.

“I think the team is really well balanced and I’m excited by the talent and potential we have.”
