Jacksonville Jaguars have announced they will be hosting a 7v7 flag football tournament for the third year in a row with tickets to Superbowl LIII for the winners.

As the 2018 NFL pre-season kicks off the Jacksonville Jaguars are already looking ahead to Super Bowl LIII.

As the only NFL team committed to playing annually in the UK, The Jaguars are offering the biggest prize in British American football. The winners of annual flag football tournament, the Jaguars Se7ens Cup, can pack their bags for an all-expenses-paid team trip to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.

Building on last year’s success which saw the tournament featured on Sky Sports, this year’s Jaguars Se7ens Cup will be taking part across two tournaments in Manchester and London.

The last few spaces are still open to entry.

The Jaguars Se7ens Cup 2018 will launch in London with the Southern Regional heats on Saturday, September, 1, while the Northern Regional heats will begin in Manchester on Saturday, September, 15.

The winners of each regional divisional will have the opportunity to be coached by a Jaguars alumni player ahead of the final face off in the North vs. South Se7ens Championship at Allianz Park in October.

The final will take place after the Jaguars themselves have taken to the field for their open training session ahead of their game at Wembley Stadium against 2017 Super Bowl champions, Philadelphia Eagles.

The Jaguars Se7ens Cup is part of the Jaguars’ year-round commitment to growing participation of American football in the UK.

Other initiatives include the JagTag schools programme that now has thousands of young people playing regularly, while the Jaguars Academy hosted hundreds of amateur players last year.

Senior Vice President, International Development for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Hussain Naqi said: “The Jaguars Se7ens Cup is truly special, growing year on year, and for the winners the greatest prize in British American football.

“Both tournaments are a lot of fun but have a high level of skill and competitiveness too.

“We want to create the best amateur sports tournament in the UK and I believe we are on our way, the 80 team places will sell out in no time and hopefully we can continue to grow it next year.”
