Six London boroughs have been named among a list of the best places to retire in the UK in 2024.
Looking for the perfect place to retire can seem impossible, with hopes that the spot will be peaceful, affordable and even offer a better quality of life.
Now, in a list created by The Telegraph, they've looked at areas across the UK comparing their crime levels, number of hospitals, GPs, shops and green spaces to choose the top ten.
This includes six London-based spots from the likes of south-west's Sutton and south-east's Bromley.
The data for each consideration was analysed by Frances McDonald of Savills Research for Telegraph Money who found that retirees "are likely to reconsider the location of their home to ensure the convenience and proximity of local amenities and health services, so they can be less reliant on others in later life."

The list is as follows:
- Merton, south-west London
- Richmond-upon-Thames, south-west London
- Sutton, south-west London
- Bromley, south-east London
- Kingston-upon-Thames, south-west London
- Westminster, central London
Merton was not only named by The Telegraph as the best spot to retire, as the consumer group Which? also included the town in their list of top 12 places to retire.
The south-west London location has good access to all key elements including healthcare services and green spaces.
Merton is also praised for its good public transport services into the town centre and supermarkets on the London bus network and the two Underground lines.
A Neighbour of Merton, Richmond-upon-Thames was also named and has the lowest recorded rate of crime in the retirement spots on the list.
Property is more expensive in Richmond but Daniel Hutchins, of Savills shares: "You can live a life as fast or as slow as you like in Richmond, which makes it an ideal place to live in and enjoy as a retiree."
South-west's Sutton is the cheapest for property for the London named spots on the retirement list and has the second lowest crime rate.
With parks including Beddington Park and Oak Park, it has plenty of green space along with good transport links and a high street.
Bromley offers affordable living whilst being close to central London with train journeys to Vicotria taking just 20 minutes.
The town centre is bustling with numerous shops, restaurants, a Picturehouse cinema and the Churchill Theatre.
Also on the list is Kingston-upon-Thames where the average property will set you back £710K.
The area allows you to live by the Thames and downsize while keeping good local amenities on your doorstep like shops and restaurants.
As Dan Miller, of Savills shares: "What we also see among downsizers is a desire to prioritise an active and social lifestyle, so having great shopping, restaurants and cafés within easy reach is particularly important to them."
Last named on the list for London is Westminster, the not surprisingly most expensive place with properties at an average of £1.72m.
Westminster is near to St Thomas's Hospital as well as GPs and dentists and endless food shops with most being less than a four-minute walk away.
