Pupils from 40 schools across Hackney will take place in the annual Bike Around the Borough event next week.
Kids will gather at Hackney Downs and ride to Clissold Park before heading on to London Fields, past the town hall and back to the starting point. Almost 1,000 youngsters are expected to take part.
The idea is to promote cycling among the youngsters and show them how easy it is to travel around the borough by bike.
Afterwards they will be able to enjoy a celebration at Hackney Downs with food, drink and “cycle-themed activities”.
Deputy mayor and Hackney’s transport chief Cllr Feryal Demirci said: “I can’t wait to again join the hundreds of children discovering their borough by bike, who will be building on the training they’ve had in school and finding out that cycling is a fun, healthy way to get around.”
