Jessica Odeleye won this year’s Fiorentini’s Got Talent show after stunning a panel of celebrity judges with her dramatic dance routine, performed to Save Me.
Judges included Hollyoaks actress Ali Bastian, who reached the semi-final of Strictly Come Dancing in 2009, and Street Cat Named Bob producer Alice de Sousa – as well as Fiorentini alumni Tahj Miles, who starred in Matilda and Bugsy Malone on the West End, and Jayden Jean-Paul-Denis from CBBC’s Hank Zipzer.
Jessica was one of 17 acts from the Anna Fiorentini drama school who battled it out in front of the industry professionals at Clapton Girls’ Academy in Lower Clapton on Saturday night.
Top casting director Emma Sylvester told them they had “jaw-dropping talent which wouldn’t feel out of place on a West End stage or cinema or television screen”. She said: “The Anna Fiorentini students are the stars of tomorrow, performing with integrity, honesty and confidence. It’s a joy to witness and food for thought for my future casting projects.”
