A crop of students were “over the moon” yesterday after receiving their A-level results at Hackney’s Bridge Academy.
The proportion of pupils achieving A* to B grades increased by 11per cent from last year – a rise of 24pc over two years – with 98pc achieving A* to E grades.
Triple A student Moiyad is set to study bio medicine at UCL. He said: “I’m over the moon with my results. It all feels very surreal and if I could advise younger students I would say, the greatest danger is playing it safe. Words can’t describe my pride, happiness and excitement.”
Tauseef, who will be studying philosophy, logic and scientific method at LSE, said: “So much anxiety and waiting seems really insignificant when you finally get your results. I’m thrilled – thank you Bridge Academy for giving me a great environment to achieve my dreams.”
While Louis is heading to Manchester University to study mechanical engineering after bagging an A* and two Bs. He said: “Bridge has helped me through the highs and lows with an unwavering level of support. Without the committed teachers and Sixth Form support staff I would not be where I am today.”
A school spokesman added: “These are wonderful results, and we are all incredibly proud of the students and their achievements.”
