Youngsters discovered there’s no business like showbusiness when they produced and starred in a musical last week.
Newington Green Primary School was transformed into a theatre when charity Arts Insight came to town.
Key Stage 2 pupils spent the week producing and rehearsing their musical Cirque du Respect before performing it for parents, teachers and even Hackney speaker, Cllr Rosemary Sales.
Arts Insight founder Laura Berridge, who created the original musical, said: “It was absolutely brilliant, such a success.
“The message of respect is obviously very relevant at the moment and the colourful circus theme was popular with the kids too.”
