A Stoke Newington singer, whose first single featured on an album along with divas like Rihanna, Alicia Keys and Jesse J, is hosting a charity day this Saturday (July 23) in memory of her friend who was killed on the front line in Afghanistan.
Wyen Solo whose single Smile featured on Universal Records’ R&B Love Songs 2011, plans to sing at the all-day event in Ryan’s Bar in Stoke Newington Church Street.
“Help for Heroes its a cause very close to my heart, as I lost my best friend last year Rifle Man Ross Robinson - so we will be dedicating the whole day to him and all the other brave soldiers,” said the 22-year old who lives in Church Street
As well as food and a raffle, there will also be a talent contest throughout the day, and budding artists are invited along to perform.
Along with Wyen, the evening’s entertainment will see live singing performances from other up and coming R’n’B artists and the party will continue until 1am with music from DJs including Pioneer and Jean Claude.
