Hackney schoolchildren have been celebrating the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton today, dressing up in royal regalia and waving flags.
Among the schools in the borough to hold parties was Millfields Community School in Hilsea Street, where stilt walkers and fire acrobats entertained pupils.
Children at Sebright Nursery School in Audrey Street, Hoxton, wore specially created crowns.
And pupils staged a royal wedding parade at Northwold School in Upper Clapton.
The wedding service begins at 11am, with residents around the borough taking to the streets to wish them well.
