A remake of the Danish film Pusher was being filmed in De Beauvoir yesterday.
Traffic was being halted for takes in a small red car pulled up on a path in De Beauvoir Road, outside the estate’s shopping centre.
The story follows a big-time London drug pusher whose life becomes consumed by his dangerous and violent lifestyle.
British actors Agyness Deyn (“Clash of the Titans”), Richard Coyle (“Prince of Persia”), Bronson Webb (“The Tudors”) and Paul Kaye (“Match Point”) have been cast, while Spaniard Luis Prieto directs.
The film’s original director Nicolas Winding Refn will executively produce, and shooting will continue in East London locations.
