24-hour strike latest in longstanding dispute
Bus workers in Hackney began a 24-hour strike this morning in a row over pay.
The Unite union said 185 employees at CT Plus, based at Ash Grove Depot just off Mare Street, walked out at 4am this morning (October 8) until early tomorrow.
The strike affects six Transport for London bus routes - 153, 212, 388, 394, W12 and W13.
Union members want to Boris Johnson to meet with them to discuss better wages, threatening to repeat the walkout for the next three Fridays.
