An 11-year-old boy is in hospital after he was hit by a car on a busy main road.
Police were called to Kingsland Road, Hackney at 6.31pm yesterday evening (January 28) to reports that a car had hit a pedestrian.
The London Ambulance Service took an 11 year-old boy to hospital.
The boy's condition was initially thought to be critical, but it has now been confirmed that his injuries are not life-threatening and not life-changing.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Any witnesses who are yet to speak with police are asked to call 101, providing the reference 6185/28JAN.
