A 54-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another woman was found with a stab wound to her neck in Dalston.

Police said that they were called to a home in Hertford Road at 6.06am after “concerns were raised for the welfare of a woman”.

The London Ambulance Service attended as well as London’s Air Ambulance. Hackney Police said that officers gave the victim, a woman aged in her 50s, first aid prior to their arrival.

The woman was subsequently rushed to hospital in a serious condition with a stab wound to her neck.

A police spokesperson said that her condition was subsequently assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
