A man has been reported to the police for allegedly “targeting Jewish passengers using racial slurs” on a north London bus service.

Stamford Hill neighbourhood watch group Shomrim said the “hate crime” took place at around 9am yesterday (May 11) on the 253 bus route.

The group alleged that a man used racial slurs against Jewish passengers while the bus was travelling between Finsbury Park and Stamford Hill.

A video of the incident appeared to show a man, who was stood near the front of the bus, berating an unidentified cameraman.

Towards the end of the video the man appears to poke the camera with a long pole he is carrying despite repeated requests to stop.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident had been reported but said they had no additional information to provide.
