A man was shot in a busy street this afternoon.
Police have closed Stoke Newington High Street today (August 11) following a shooting in the area shortly after 3pm.
MPS Hackney have said: "No arrests have been made at this stage, and a scene is in place which will be affecting people's travel through the area.

"We are working hard to establish who is responsible and will keep everyone updated as soon as possible - we know this is a hugely concerning incident.”
The road is closed with queueing traffic due to the police incident on A10 Stoke Newington High Street, from Victorian Road to Kynaston Avenue.
Currently these are the bus routes affected: 67,73,76,106,149,243,276,393,476.
