Four London restaurants have been celebrating big after the Asian Curry Awards announced their winners.

In tough competition, Colonel Saab in Holborn, Kasa and Kin in Soho, iNaga in Bromley and Namaaste in Highgate all won.

The Asian Curry Awards is described as the biggest "event in the Asian culinary calendar" with some even dubbing in the "Curry Oscars".

Each year, hundreds of hopeful winners will enter the awards before being whittled down to the top before a panel of judges vote for the winners. 

The Asian Curry Awards ceremony took place on Sunday, November 19 at the Grosvenor House in London and was hosted by BBC News journalist Samantha Simmonds.

The Colonel Saab in Holborn won Asain Restaurant of the Year and is described as offering "a smart Indian fine dining experience."

Founded by Roop Partap Choudhary, Colonel Saab shares that the restaurant is inspired by the travel tales of Roop's parents and is a "love letter" to his family.

On the online review site Tripadvisor, it has over180 reviews with a 4.5 rating, with one visitor sharing: "Great food, and service! Anshu and Chintu are a real asset to Colonel Saab team! Well done to management for the hire."

Winning Chef of the Year, Nanu Miah from iNaga in Bromley previously said "I run a very good kitchen and we have great staff.

"I hope I win the award for all of us and iNaga Restaurant.”

Kasa and Kin in Soho won Best Filipino Restaurant and has a 4-star rating on Tripadvisor, with users sharing they had an "unforgettable dinner experience", writing: "As Filipinos our food experience is very good. The service is excellent especially the owner Mr. Joseph & the waiters Josh & Asma who were very accommodating."

Namaaste Highgate won Newcomer of the Year at the Asian Curry Awards and shares that they have created "a space to make fine Indian cuisine and put together a team to whom hospitality means the world."
