A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal stabbing on Boxing Day.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed yesterday (January 1) that they had arrested a 38-year-old man after the death of Michael John Murphy.
The 49-year-old was found with stab injuries in Cranwood Street in the early hours of December 26.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died from his injuries.
His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Four people – two men aged 49 and 42, and two women aged 35 and 44 – were previously arrested on suspicion of Michael’s murder.
They have since been released by police with no further action taken.
