My friend and I visited Bokan 37, an award winning restaurant situated on the 37th floor of the Novotel Hotel in Canary Wharf, and had a luxury experience from start to finish.

We began our evening on the 38th floor, at Bokan 37’s rooftop bar and terrace, where we enjoyed some delicious fruity cocktails whilst catching up and admiring the panoramic views of the London skyline.

Soon enough, we were taken to our secluded table on the 37th floor and had the perfect view of London, all the way from South Bank to the Olympic Park. Seated comfortably, I was mesmerized by the cityscape that unfolded before my eyes.

The twinkling lights of iconic landmarks such as the London Eye, Tower Bridge and The Shard against the evening sky, created a magical atmosphere that perfectly complemented the refined dining experience.

We were given complimentary warm bread with a garlic fused butter to start with, along with a tall glass of Pinot Grigio.

Bokan 37's menu is a gastronomic journey, featuring a masterful fusion of flavours and premium ingredients - each dish was a work of art.

For starters, I chose the Squid, Chorizo, and winter Tomato Seafood; my friend had the Poached lobster and Baerii caviar Sulphites.

Hackney Gazette:

The chef's attention to detail was evident in our starters, showcasing a commitment to excellence that elevated the entire dining experience.

The squid was tender and sweet, coated in a crisp batter and perfectly placed on a bed of sauce.

The staff at Bokan 37 were exceptional, providing a level of service that matched the elevated setting.

For my main dish, I enjoyed the Organic Chicken ballotine, Jerusalem artichoke and chestnut ragù, which featured a succulent blend of tender, flavourful white meat, enriched with subtle herbs and spices.

Hackney Gazette:

For £59 per person, customers can enjoy a luxury three-course meal with many options to suit all tastebuds, including dishes such as venison tartare, dry rib-eye, trout, tiramisu, and a chocolate sensation – which is essentially heaven in a bowl.

The ambiance, combined with the impeccable service and exquisite cuisine, made my visit to Bokan 37 a truly memorable occasion.

Whether it's a special celebration or an intimate dinner, this restaurant on the 37th floor is a gem that promises not just a meal but an elevated experience that lingers in the memory long after the last course.

Hackney Gazette:

And, just in time for the most romantic day of the year, Valentines Day, Bokan 37 is offering the most sought-after dining spot to share an unforgettable evening with your loved one.

Customers can enjoy a five-course dinner courtesy of Executive Chef Robert Manea alongside a glass of the finest champagne for £150 per person.

Or lovebirds can be truly spoilt with a special candle lit window table with front row seats to the city’s most romantic skyline and a four-course sharing menu priced at £340 per couple.

Hackney Gazette:

Dishes include aphrodisiac plates including salmon tartare and Baerii caviar with melba toast; four oysters and two hand dived scallops, before choosing either a whole seabass with root vegetables or côte de boeuf with potatoes and a gorgeous bearnaise sauce, alongside a bottle of bubbly.

Both menus are available exclusively on Wednesday, February 14.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a luxurious escape with a view that will steal your breath away, Bokan 37 is the epitome of sophistication and culinary excellence.

I wholeheartedly recommend it for those seeking an unforgettable dining experience high above the London skyline.
