Forensics investigators have arrived at the scene of a 17-year-old’s fatal stabbing in Hackney.

A police tent has been set up in Shoreditch and Hackney Road has been closed both ways between Queensbridge Road and Shoreditch High Street following the murder.

London Ambulance Service attended, but the boy died at the scene.

A post mortem examination and a formal identification of the body is yet to take place, but the Metropolitan Police said the boy’s family have been informed.

Additional patrols will be seen in Shoreditch while police collect forensic evidence, he added.

DCI Conway urged anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
